Jump 2 Rhythm


Project Overview: The purpose of this unit was to plan, develop and deliver a creative media project. I had to plan out the project, get the project concept agreed upon by our tutor, keep a log book and create one playable level.

Project Outcome: By the end of this project, I had created a full game with two playable levels, a playable tutorial and a main menu screen. I learned how to use Unity3D very well and develop my knowledge of coding within C#. This project also improved my plan management skills and how to keep a log book of the project's development throughout the 12 week development. I received a First for this project and upon completion, I uploaded my game onto the Google Play Store. It topped at number 3 on the trending page for apps in the music category.

This aim of the game is to jump in time with the music over the obstacles to reach the end! The second level is a prototype level, so this isn't the case during this level. However, this level does include some new mechanics which aren't in the first level. Playing through the tutorial will help showcase the various mechanics within the game, giving a brief description of them all and what you should do to overcome them.
